4. Cookies in Embedded Widgets
The Kind Robots embeddable chat widget (@kindrobots/assist) is designed to minimize cookie usage:
- The widget does not set cookies on the host website by default
- Chat session state is managed through the Platform's API, not cookies
- If the host website's authentication token is passed to the widget for JWT verification, this is handled through API headers, not cookies
5. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies
- First-party cookies are set by Kind Robots (kindrobots.ai) and can only be read by the Platform
- Third-party cookies are set by external services integrated into the Platform
Currently, the Platform primarily uses first-party cookies for authentication (via Supabase, which sets cookies on our domain).
6. Managing Cookies
6.1 Browser Settings
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are set
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all sites
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies

The Platform cannot function without essential authentication cookies.
